Find Honor: Become a Christian

The following verses will give you the understanding you require, and the response required from you to become a Christian

You were created for Honor

“God created mankind in His own image.”

"You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor."

"Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give nations in exchange for you..."
Genesis 1:27, Psalm 8:5, Isaiah 43:4

You were made with dignity and value. Your life was designed to reflect God, not to live under a sense of failure or rejection.

Anchor 1

Shame came when we turned away from God

"My disgrace is before me all day long, and my face is covered with shame"

"But my people have exchanged their glorious God for worthless idols... Be appalled at this, you heavens!"

Psalm 44:15, Jeremiah 2:11-12

When we live apart from God, something breaks inside. We lose our sense of belonging and try to cover it in different ways, but the feeling remains.

This is a shared human condition

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..... As it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one."

Romans 3:23, 10

The problem is not just personal weakness. It is a universal separation from God that affects how we see ourselves and how we relate to others.

Jesus entered our shame

"I will rescue the lame; I will gather the exiles. I will give them praise and honor in every land where they have suffered shame."
Zephaniah 3:19

Salvation is a free gift, obtained only through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. No matter how hard you try, your life will never be good enough to earn eternal life. Neither will you ever be too bad to be able to believe in the Name of Jesus.

He was rejected so we could be accepted

“He endured the cross, scorning its shame.”

"He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem."
Hebrews 12:2, Isaiah 53:3

Jesus experienced rejection, humiliation, and suffering. He took what we deserve in order to bring us back to God.

  • You do not need to hide anymore

  • You are no longer defined by your past

  • You can belong to God’s family

“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

“Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”

“To all who did receive Him… He gave the right to become children of God.”
Romans 8:1,
Romans 10:11, John 1:12

God does not hold your past over you. In Christ, your standing changes completely.Becoming a Christian is not about earning approval. It is about being brought into a relationship where you are known and accepted.

God offers honor instead of shame

“Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.”
Psalm 34:5

God does not expose us to disgrace. He restores dignity and gives a new standing that is not based on performance.

How to respond

(Jesus said) "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me."

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Repent and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit
Revelation 3:20, Romans 10:13, Acts 2:38

Jesus is waiting at the door to your life, waiting to be invited into your heart.

My Prayer

Pray this prayer to receive Christ as your Savior and Lord

“Lord Jesus, I am tired of hiding.

I believe You took my shame on the cross.

Please forgive me, restore me, and bring me into Your family.

Help me live in the honor You have given me. Amen.”

Experience God's comfort

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved....... Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life....For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Romans 10:9 John 5:24 Ephesians 2:8-9

Hold on to this moment, you have commenced a journey that will take the rest of your life to complete. However your salvation is complete: eternal life is yours.

We rejoice with you!
